Prevent Slips

Durable Anti-Slip Tape

No Drying Time, Use Instantly

High Grip
Factories and warehouses can, at times, have fire exits blocked due to boxes, tools and many other items being left in front of them, which can cause major problems in times when the premises is at risk of fire.
Heskins® anti slip fire exit markers have been developed and produced to offer a faster, more efficient way of creating a clear zone and prominent signage for your fire exits.
Benefits
Compared to stencilling, masking and painting, with waits in between for drying times, Heskins® alternative, fire exit floor markings, is a one-piece, adhesive application, that takes just minutes to apply, and can be used immediately, complete with an industry-standard anti slip surface.
APPLICATIONS
Optimal Service Temperature
The optimal application temperature for our fire exit marker is 50F or above.
Sizes
All these factors make Heskins® anti-slip fire exit floor markings a more time and cost-effective solution. They are currently available in sizes of 1-metre x 1 metre (39″x39″) and 1-metre x 1.5 metres (39″x59″), giving you sufficient anti slip coverage, as well as hi-viz markings for important areas in your building.
Heskins® FIRE1M1M and FIRE1M1.5M fire exit signs come pre-printed with ‘FIRE EXIT, KEEP CLEAR’, complete with yellow/black chevrons, coated with aluminum oxide grit and a permanent, strong-bonding adhesive coating.
Tape Thickness
The Fire Exit Marker features a total applied thickness of 0.7mm, offering the right combination of strength, visibility, and flexibility. Its durable PVC construction allows the tape to adhere securely while maintaining enough pliability to conform to common installation surfaces, whether smooth flooring or slightly textured areas. This balanced thickness ensures long-lasting performance, clear directional marking, and easy installation—without adding unnecessary height that could interfere with foot traffic or cleaning equipment.
Custom
We can, dependent on quantity, create custom prints and sizes of fire exit floor markings to meet your needs.

Anti-Slip Fire Exit Floor Marker – Fire Exit Safety Marking FAQ
What is an anti-slip fire exit floor marker and what is it used for?
An anti-slip fire exit floor marker is a pre-printed safety marking designed to clearly identify fire exit zones and keep them free from obstruction. The H3416 combines bold black/yellow hazard chevrons with “FIRE EXIT – KEEP CLEAR” messaging and a high-grip anti-slip surface, helping improve both visibility and pedestrian safety in emergency routes.
Why are fire exit floor markings important in workplaces and public buildings?
Fire exit markers help ensure escape routes remain visible and unobstructed at all times. In environments like warehouses and factories, items can easily block exits, creating serious risks during emergencies. Floor markings provide a constant visual reminder to keep these areas clear, improving evacuation safety and supporting compliance.
Where should a fire exit floor marker be installed?
Fire exit markers should be installed directly in front of emergency exits, doorways, and designated escape routes. They are commonly used in warehouses, factories, commercial buildings, and public facilities to define a clearly marked safety zone.
Why choose a fire exit floor marker instead of painted markings?
Unlike painted markings, anti-slip fire exit markers are supplied as a one-piece adhesive system that can be installed quickly with no drying time. Paint requires preparation, multiple coats, and downtime, making it less efficient for operational environments.
Is the H3416 fire exit marker anti-slip?
Yes. The H3416 features a high-performance anti-slip surface using aluminium oxide grit, providing strong traction underfoot and helping reduce slip risks in high-traffic areas.
How durable are anti-slip fire exit floor markers?
The H3416 is designed for industrial environments, with a durable PVC base and strong adhesive. It offers resistance to water, oils, and chemicals, making it suitable for demanding indoor applications.
How long do fire exit floor markers last?
Typical lifespan ranges from 12 to 24 months depending on foot traffic and environmental conditions. Proper surface preparation and correct installation will extend performance.
Are fire exit floor markings required for safety compliance?
Requirements vary by region, but most workplace safety standards require clearly marked and unobstructed exit routes. Floor markers like H3416 are widely used to support compliance and improve visibility.
Can the H3416 fire exit marker be custom printed?
Yes. Custom sizes, layouts, and printed messages can be produced, allowing businesses to tailor fire exit markings to their site layout and safety procedures.
What sizes are available for fire exit markers?
H3416 is typically available in sizes such as 1m x 1m and 1m x 1.5m, making it suitable for both single and double door exit areas.
How easy is it to install a fire exit floor marker?
Installation is quick and straightforward. The marker is supplied as a single-piece adhesive product that can be applied directly to a clean, dry surface and used immediately.
Can fire exit markers be used in industrial environments?
Yes. They are specifically designed for use in warehouses, factories, distribution centres, and commercial buildings where durability and visibility are critical.
Will the marker work on different floor surfaces?
H3416 can be applied to most sealed, smooth, or lightly textured floors. Its flexible construction allows it to conform to common industrial flooring surfaces.
Do fire exit floor markers help prevent accidents as well as improve visibility?
Yes. In addition to clearly marking exit zones, the anti-slip surface improves traction, helping reduce slips and falls in busy environments.
Can I request samples or get help choosing the right fire exit marking solution?
Yes. Samples are available, and guidance can be provided to help determine the most suitable size, layout, and specification for your site.
