Heskins is a company that prides itself on its ability to provide customers with innovative solutions to their problems. This dedication to creativity and innovation drives us to constantly search for new and unique ways to apply our products. Recently, we were contacted by the Unity Fellowship Baptist Church, located in Jackson, Mississippi, who needed help with a craft project for local kids in their area. We were more than happy to donate a few rolls of our glow in the dark photoluminescent egress tape to the church’s Vacation Bible School program.
The theme for the project was “Glow for Jesus”, and the members of Unity Fellowship felt that our glow in the dark egress tape would be perfect for their needs. With our donation, the kids were able to create several different projects, including glow in the dark crosses, jewelry holders, night lights, and more. To create these projects, our glow in the dark standard anti-slip tape was applied to other craft materials, such as cardboard, water bottles, and construction paper, to create fun, light-up crafts for the kids to take home.
One thing that makes our glow in the dark tape so unique is its performance. The material is rechargeable under artificial and natural lighting, which means it can be used indefinitely. During the day or when exposed to light, the tape emits a mild green color. But when the tape is placed in dark areas, it radiates a bright green glow lasting several hours.
Rena Surrell, the craft leader at Unity Fellowship, said that our glow in the dark egress tape is suitable in many ways because it is “sturdy, firm, and very adjustable for being cut into many different shapes.” She also mentioned how the tape worked well for the project because of its “adaptability.” This is just one example of how our products can be used uniquely and creatively.
