National Truck Driver Appreciation Week

Services

National truck driver appreciation week was just a few weeks ago. Heskins LLC was very excited to help honor them with anti-slip tape through Trinity Logistics!

National Truck Driver Appreciation Week is when Companies such as Heskins who rely on our carriers to help with day to day operations stop to say thank you and appreciate all the hard work that happens behind the scenes.

Truck driving is one of the economy’s most demanding jobs in the states. Without them, not only would companies suffer, but the general population would as well. There are approximately 3.5 million professional truck drivers in the United States and that number excels daily. Keeping in mind just how many truck drivers there are in the states, imagine how much cargo they carry on a daily basis! 69.1% of all goods are transported through the trucking industry. That is quite a large amount of people, but the number of miles driven in a year for an average truck driver is 3 million! In total it is estimated that all truck drivers combined will exceed 200 billion miles in a single year! In addition to this fact, here is something that will put this into perspective. If there were no truck drivers, local grocery stores would run out of food in just three days!!

During the week of September 8th – 14th we had a wonderful opportunity to be a part of something very special. Heskins received a phone call in July from Trinity Logistics about a great way to support truck drivers from all over by donating some of our safety tapes to show them that we care about them and their safety. Heskins, along with several other sponsors came together to create 1,200 gift bags that would be handed out at ten different rest stops all over the United States.

Heskins is so proud to have had the opportunity to give back to some of these amazing men and women who drive trucks for a living.

From all of us at Heskins LLC, thank you.
