National truck driver appreciation week was just a few weeks ago. Heskins LLC was very excited to help honor them with anti-slip tape through Trinity Logistics!
National Truck Driver Appreciation Week is an annual event held in September in the United States to recognize and celebrate the important job that truck drivers play in the American economy. It is a time when companies such as Heskins LLC, which rely on carriers to help with day-to-day operations, stop to say thank you and show appreciation for all the hard work that happens behind the scenes and for all the journeys.
Truck driving is one of the most demanding jobs in the United States. Professional truck drivers are responsible for transporting goods across the country and ensuring they arrive at their destination on time and in good condition. Without them, not only would companies suffer, but the general population would as well.
Currently, there are approximately 3.5 million professional truck drivers in the United States, and that number is growing every day. These drivers are responsible for transporting 69.1% of all goods in the country. The average truck driver is estimated to drive approximately 3 million miles a year, and all truck drivers combined will exceed 200 billion miles in a year.
To put this into perspective, if there were no truck drivers, local grocery stores would run out of food in just three days! This highlights the importance of the trucking industry to the American economy and the essential role that truck drivers play in keeping the country running.
During National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, companies and individuals across the country come together to show their appreciation for the hard work of truck drivers. Heskins LLC, a leading manufacturer of anti-slip tape, was proud to participate in this year’s event by donating some of our safety tapes to show truck drivers that they care about their safety.
Heskins LLC partnered with Trinity Logistics and other sponsors to create 1,200 gift bags that were handed out at ten different rest stops across the United States. These gift bags included anti-slip tape, snacks, and other items to help make the long hours on the road a little bit easier for truck drivers.
Heskins LLC was honored to have the opportunity to give back to the fantastic men and women who drive trucks for a living. Truck drivers play a crucial role in the American economy, and it is important to recognize their hard work and dedication.
