Glow in the Dark Egress Tape

Heskins® glow in the dark egress tape is produced in either plain or chevron hazard format. During daylight or lights on scenario, glow in the dark marking tape is a mild green color; in a lights out situation it immediately releases a highly noticeable bright glow. The light that is emitted is stored as energy when the tape is exposed to a light source, this can be natural or artificial lighting.

Benefits

Our glow in the dark egress hazard marking tapes does not use any radioactive materials or components that breach any state, federal or international standards. Impregnated into the upper surface are the photoluminescent powders, these powders have an indefinite lifespan and can be recharged over and over, for the duration of the lifespan of the tape.

Underneath the top film, we apply a permanent self-adhesive that has a heavy coat weight. The adhesive is exposed by removing the protective backing paper, then, simply stick down onto any surface that is clean, dry and free from any grease. For applying onto porous surfaces (wood, concrete, stone etc.) we recommend the use of our surface primer prior to application.

Application

With this being a smooth tape, it’s primary use is for marking many areas as a hazard marking tape.

Doorways

Marking doorways, particularly door frames, allows for exit and entry points to be found in low light or lights out situations. Glow in the dark marking tape can be applied in seconds, and is ready to use immediately.

Low Edges

By applying glow in the dark hazard marking tape to low edges, you can prevent head injuries in low to no light situations. It is a very efficient use for it, as not much tape will be required to mark the area as hazardous.

Stairways

Ensuring stairways and their steps are completely visible is not always an easy task, but by using glow in the dark hazard marking tape, you can completely highlight the stairway and every step to ensure no mis-steps.

Light Switches

Finding light switches in the dark can be very troublesome for many. Applying glow in the dark marking tape on or around light switches removes the difficulty associated with finding light switches in a dark room.

Our glow in the dark egress tape is available in either roll or die-cut shape format. We offer this tape in 30 ft. rolls and can be cut to any width, with the maximum width of 46” for plain color and 23” for hazard chevrons. Die cuts can be produced easily to many sizes and shapes, please enquire with us to discuss your needs. For most specifications, we can produce custom products with great lead times.
